Iron Skillet Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients for the Crust:

8 tbsp Unsalted Butter

¼ cup Dark Brown Sugar (Packed)

1 ½ cup All-purpose Flour

1 tbsp baking powder (Rounded)

¼ tsp Salt

1 ¼ cup whole Milk

Filling:

3 ½ cup Fresh Blackberries

½ tsp Cinnamon (Ground)

1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

2 tbsp All-purpose Flour

½ cup Granulated Sugar

Directions:

Step 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 2. Prep a 10 inch cast iron skillet with non-stick baking spray.

Step 3. Add butter to the cast iron skillet.

Step 4. Place the skillet in the oven to melt the butter.

Crust:

Step 1. Add brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt to a medium bowl. Whisk to combine.

Step 2. Add milk, stirring to mix. Remove the cast iron skillet from the oven and add the crust mixture.

Step 3. Spread the crust mixture over the melted butter.

Filling:

Step 1. Add blackberries, cinnamon, vanilla, flour, and sugar to a bowl. Gently stir to combine.

Step 2. With a tablespoon, drop the filling into the cast iron skillet.

Step 3. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown or for 35-40 minutes.

Step 4. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.

Step 5. Serve with a scoop of ice cream.
