Method
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Prep a 10 inch cast iron skillet with non-stick baking spray.
- Add butter to the cast iron skillet.
- Place the skillet in the oven to melt the butter.
Crust:
- Add brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt to a medium bowl. Whisk to combine.
- Add milk, stirring to mix. Remove the cast iron skillet from the oven and add the crust mixture.
- Spread the crust mixture over the melted butter.
Filling:
- Add blackberries, cinnamon, vanilla, flour, and sugar to a bowl. Gently stir to combine.
- With a tablespoon, drop the filling into the cast iron skillet.
- Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown or for 35-40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
- Serve with a scoop of ice cream.
