Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry is an Asian-style recipe that will expand your culinary cookbook, as a result; you get a delicious home-cooked meal your family will think you stopped to pick up on the way home. Stir fry is a Chinese tradition of cooking meat and vegetables in a small batch of super-hot oil to fry everything quickly and evenly. As a result, a glorious aroma will fill your kitchen and every ingredient is still vibrant without being over-cooked. In short, this recipe is a great beginning step for anyone who wants to broaden their culinary experience without having to use a ton of specialty ingredients.
Which side pairs best with this recipe?
Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry is a twist on a traditional Asian-style dish which means the most popular option is fried or white rice. Make a bed of your rice preference on the plate and layer with your beef and cabbage mixture pouring over extra sauce to soak into the rice. Rice absorbs all the flavor from the stir-fry within a few minutes for a complete dish. Trying to be a little more health-conscious? Pair this main course with a salad to break up the richness of the dish. Any type of salad you prefer is fine but if you want to keep with the flavor style we recommend using Seasame oil or an Asian-inspired dressing. Are you a carb lover? Try adding egg rolls or spring rolls as an appetizer or side with the Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry.
Can I substitute the meat?
The wonderful thing about this meal is the main ingredient is interchangeable. If you prefer a tender sliced chicken it works just as wonderfully as the beef does with a more subtle flavor. Are you a vegetarian who likes to enjoy the flavor but none of the meat? Add tofu to your stir-fry in place of the ground beef. I promise you the seasoning will trick you into believing it’s real meat. When we first tried tofu in this recipe it was hard to determine which one was better the flavor was so similar.
