How to make Big Apple Fritters:
Step 1. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

Step 2. Add in the applesauce, eggs, and milk.

Stir until just combined.

Step 3. Stir in the apples.

Step 5. Heat several inches of oil in a deep-sided pot or skillet on the stove until the oil reaches 375 degrees.

Step 5. Drop ¼ cup of the batter into the oil.

Fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

Drain the fritters on a paper towel-lined plate or rack.

Step 6. Blend together the ingredients for the glaze until smooth.

Step 7. Dip the fritters into the glaze.

Allow them to rest to set before serving.

Ingredients

- ⅓ C. Milk
- ¼ C. Sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 2 tsp. Baking powder
- 3 Tbsp. Applesauce
- ½ tsp. Salt
- 2 Large Granny smith apples peeled and diced
For the glaze:
- ½ tsp Vanilla
- 2 C. Powdered sugar
- ¼ C. Milk
Instructions
- Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.
- Add in the applesauce, eggs and milk, and stir until just combined.
- Stir in the apples.
- Heat several inches of oil in a deep sided pot or skillet on the stove until the oil reaches 375 degrees.
