Ingredients:
1 cup Oil For Frying
1 cup Flour
Salt And Pepper To Taste
6 Cube Steaks
1 can Cream Of Mushroom Soup
½ Onion (Sliced)
1 Can Water
8 Oz. Mushrooms In A Can (Drained and Sliced)
Instructions:
Step 1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2. Add the oil to a skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 3. Coat the outside of the steaks in flour, and add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4. Sear the outside of the steaks in the hot oil and set aside.
Step 5. Place three steaks into the bottom of a baking dish and cover with ½ of the onions.
Step 6. Add another layer of steaks and the remaining onions on top.
Step 7. In a bowl, mix together the water, soup and mushrooms. Pour the soup mixture over the steaks.
Step 8. Bake for 30 minutes and let cool for 15 minutes to thicken the gravy before serving.
