We made sure that this recipe was super easy for those hard-working moms, single parents, or anyone who wants delicious flavor without making all the mess.
Smothered Hamburger Steak also allows you to enjoy a meal you would splurge on somewhere else at a very cheap price. Making your steak with herbs, seasoning, and sauce has never been more straightforward. You can make them as big or as little as you want. However, we recommend being super careful with making them too small because they will cook faster, and you want the meat to stay nice and juicy.

The answer is probably not, we know this recipe was our first time trying such a unique dish. It is similar to meatloaf with more steak flavor and in individual serving sizes. The Worcestershire sauce adds that level of smoky and tangy taste you like from a steak while also having a delicious balance with the cream of onion soup. We are confident this will become a family favorite around the house.
Can I serve this Smothered Hamburger Steak in different ways?
You certainly can! If you want to make a sandwich with it and top it with sliced pickles, jalapenos, and cheese; you are in for a sloppy treat. Just make sure to grab extra napkins. You can also be served on top of rice or add mashed potatoes to the side. For a healthier option, we like to add this on top of a salad which is quite good for a quick on-the-go lunch option.
Ingredients:
½ C. Chopped onion
2 lbs. Ground beef
1 Tbsp. Beef bouillon powder
3 Slices white bread torn into pieces
1 Can cream of onion soup
1 Can of water
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 Large eggs
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Mix together the eggs, onion, bouillon powder and salt and pepper to taste in a bowl.

Soak the bread pieces in the mixture, and then add the entire thing to the meat, kneading it well with your hands until well combined.
Form the meat mixture into 8 evenly sized patties, and cook them well in a skillet over medium high heat on the stove until cooked through. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.
Add the soup, water and worcestershire sauce to a skillet over medium heat until well combined.
Return the meat to the skillet, turning to coat it in the sauce. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
