Ingredients:
2 cup Flour
1 tsp Salt
3/4 cup Whole Milk
4 tbsp Unsalted Sweet Cream Butter (Cold)
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
1/4 cup Sugar
1 1/4 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 cup Butter (Melted)
3/4 cup Pumpkin Pie Puree
Directions :
Step 1. In a large bowl add flour, baking powder, and salt.Using your fingers cut cold butter into the flour until mixture feels like coarse crumbs.
Step 2. Add the milk, stirring until the dough comes together.Using a wood cutting board add 1 tbsp. of flour and spread the flour with your hands across the board.
Step 3. Place your biscuit dough on the board. Roll the biscuits to 1/4 inch thickness. Fold the dough over in half.
Step 4. Place in a bowl and cover with a baking towel. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Repeat the steps of rolling out the dough and folding the dough over in half.
Step 5. Refrigerate for 30 minutes again. Add more flour to your wood board.
Step 6. Roll the biscuits to 1/4 inch thickness. Use a 3′ circle cookie cutter and cut out circle biscuits.
Step 7. You will need 6 biscuits in total. Place the biscuits on a baking pan. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 8. Pre-heat oven to 350′ degrees. Spray 1 loaf pan with baking spray and set aside.
Step 9. Remove from biscuits from the refrigerator and peel the biscuit in half. Place the halved biscuits back on the baking pan.
Step 10. Using a small bowl, melt the butter in a microwave for 10-15 seconds. Using a medium size bowl, combine the sugar and the pumpkin pie spice.
Step 11. Dip the biscuit into the butter and then dip the biscuit into the cinnamon sugar. Using the pumpkin pie puree, spread about 1/2 tablespoon onto the center of 10 biscuits pieces.
Step 12. Begin stacking biscuits with the two plain ones on the bottom and top. Place into the loaf pans. Bake in the oven for 35-45 minutes or until a golden brown and centers are cooked.
Step 13. Allow to slightly cool before removing and enjoying!
