Summer is almost here and that means kids are home, and snacks are flying out of the drawer like hot cakes. After about a week you will start hearing the nagging that they don’t want any more hot dogs or PB&J sandwiches. So what other easy snacks can you serve them without breaking the bank?

Pepperoni Pizza Bread is perfect for these situations. They also make for a great appetizer option when hosting your summer get-together or sleepovers. It’s like a hot pocket but better and made with love!

With just five simple ingredients you can create a deliciously flavorful snack the whole gang will love. The buttery dough holds all your favorite pizza toppings. Use fresh pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese rolled into an easy on-the-go snack.

You can cut your pieces to your preferred size depending on where you are sharing these or with who. The dough becomes super flaky while the filling stays moist and delicious.

You can have your own Pepperoni Pizza Bread on the table in under 45 minutes. They store easily and all you have to do is pop them in the oven for a few minutes to reheat and retain the crispy dough texture.

What type of dipping sauces do you recommend?

The crowd’s favorite seems to be marinara sauce to bring the true flavor of pizza to the dish. You can also use buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing (don’t knock it until you try it :-)). The world is your oyster so get creative!

How many slices do you get from one sheet of dough?

It depends on the sizes you cut each piece. One sheet of dough should be able to feed at least 2 to 3 people but if you are worried about running out just make two batches!

Here is all you need to make Pepperoni Pizza Bread at home!

1 Loaf frozen bread dough defrosted

½ lb. Deli sliced pepperoni

2 C. Shredded mozzarella cheese

2 Tbsp. Butter unsalted and melted

A bit of flour for rolling out the dough
