Chicken wings are a neutral-tasting protein that takes on pretty much any flavor you want to add. You can make wings as sweet or as spicy as you want.

This recipe takes the sweetness and the spice factor up a notch though! Peach preserves offer a wonderfully fruity taste while a combination of paprika, garlic, soy sauce, and hot sauce ramp up the flavor even more.

This finger-licking yummy chicken wings recipe is simple to follow and you probably already have most of the items needed. You can use chicken flats or drums or some of each since they have the same cooking time.

There’s nothing not to love about these sweet and spicy chicken wings and you can even cook them in an air fryer if you prefer to use that in place of a deep-fat fryer.

They’ll still come out perfectly cooked as well as crispy.

Why You’ll Love the Recipe:

Chicken wings are a great appetizer or snack. This recipe uses both sweet and spicy components to bring out the naturally delicious chicken wing taste. The peach preserves contrast wonderfully with the hot sauce, and everyone will love the crunch these wings offer.

How to Serve Them:

Sweet and spicy chicken wings pair well with ranch dressing, or perhaps you prefer blue cheese dressing or even blue cheese crumbles. For a traditional touch, pair them with celery and baby carrots too. And don’t forget the napkins – these can be a little messy to eat.

Ingredients:

  • Butter
  • Paprika
  • Minced garlic
  • Garlic powder
  • Peach preserves
  • Chicken wings
  • Hot sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • Soy sauce
  • Oil for frying

How to make Hot Honey Peach Wings:

Step 1. Heat a deep fryer to 350 degrees.

Step 2. Season the chicken wings with paprika, garlic powder, and salt to taste.

Step 3. Add the garlic and butter to a pot on the stove, and cook until the butter is melted.

Step 4. Add in the hot sauce, soy sauce, and peach preserves. Cook for 5 minutes, or until thickened into syrup.

Step 5. Deep fry the wings for 12-15 minutes in batches if needed.

Step 6. Drain the wings on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 7. Toss the wings in the sauce and serve.

Both sweet and spicy, these amazing chicken wings are going to be the star of any buffet table. They’re ideal for munching on while you watch the game and also great as a simple evening meal, perhaps paired with fries or potato salad. The recipe is easy to follow and everyone is going to love how crispy they are.

THANKS FOR PINING!

Can You Make Them Ahead?

Technically yes but they won’t stay as crispy so it’s best to make these and serve straight away.

Storage Instructions:

Leftovers will keep for up to 3 days in an airtight container in the fridge.

Variations and Substitutions:

Apricot preserves will work in place of peach preserves. Something else you can do is use fresh minced habaneros instead of the hot sauce. Habaneros and peaches have a special affinity. If you really don’t like spiciness, you can omit the hot sauce (or chilies) altogether. Also, feel free to cook them in an air fryer instead of a deep fryer. The cooking time should be similar.
