With such a versatile recipe, you can never go wrong with baking a fresh loaf for a typical Tuesday night of your next holiday celebration.
What type of yeast did you use?
We used quick-rising yeast to ensure this bread is fluffy and dense like you allowed it to rise overnight. It is very similar to dry active yeast but gives you more volume in a shorter period of time.
How do you store Country White Bread for optimal freshness?
The best way to store bread is in a bread drawer or a sealed container. Placing it in the fridge is fine just make sure to warm it up in a toaster prior to making your sandwich (unless you are looking for a refreshingly cool meal). Leaving it out in the air will have it go stale very quickly.
