It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The weather is chilly with snow layered on the ground (hopefully), the tree is lit and decorated with ornaments special to you, presents cover the floor, and all the family is in town.
You wake up early to try to get a moment of silence with coffee in hand before the madness happens. As you are relaxing you realize that all the people upstairs sleeping are going to want food, and you have limited time to make it!
Don’t stress! We definitely have you covered with this Christmas Breakfast Casserole. Make breakfast easy and simple with little clean-up so you can jump right into dinner or lunch prep.
We want you to enjoy the day and not have to stress about making multiple meals while spending the day in the kitchen.
Christmas Breakfast Casserole is a super hearty meal filled with sausage, egg, and cheese to feed the masses on a budget.
Mustard powder is added to your casserole with rich, sharp, and aromatic flavoring that counteracts the rich sausage and cheese. This way your family is full without taking a morning nap before the kids can rip all those gifts apart.
Put it out of the oven when you hear the steps creaking with footsteps, slice, and serve. You can even make this the night before and just pop it into the oven for an easier morning!

What can I use if I don’t have sausage?
Sausage is truly the highlight of this recipe; however, if you don’t have any on hand then you can substitute with crispy crumbled bacon or ground beef. If you have some people who don’t eat meat then just add your protein to one side of the casserole. Serve with orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, or a morning mimosa if you are over 21 that is :-). Make some toast to dip into your Christmas Breakfast Casserole if you want some extra carbs!

It is over 100 degrees in Texas! We want cooler weather so much, but can’t even think about Christmas yet. I think I like the recipe though.
