Apple Chocolate Chip Donuts

Learn how to prepare the Apple Chocolate Chip Donuts, so that you delight the palate of your whole family.

Apple Chocolate Chip Donuts

Besides being easy to make, they are very delicious. They will be the perfect addition to any dinner, and Apple Chocolate Chip Donuts are perfect for any occasion.

Apple Chocolate Chip Donuts

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cup Flour

1/4 cup Sugar

1/2 cup Brown sugar (packed)

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp baking soda

2 tsp apple pie spice

3/4 cup buttermilk (room temp)

1/4 cup apple cider

1/4 cup applesauce

2 large eggs (room temp)

1 stick unsalted butter (melted and cooled slightly)

Sugar coating:

1/2 cup butter

1 granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 tbsp. cinnamon

Instructions:

Step 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2. Prep two donut pans with baking spray. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, both sugars, and spice in a large bowl. Stir to combine.

Step 3. Whisk your wet ingredients together in a second bowl, (Milk, cider, applesauce, eggs, and butter.)

Step 4. Stir in the wet ingredients to your dry ingredients until just combined.

Step 5. Scoop the batter into each donut well. Filling each about 3/4 cup full.

Step 6. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10-12 minutes. (Or until golden brown and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.)

Step 7. Allow the donuts to cool slightly on a cooling rack. Melt butter in a small cup.

Step 8. Mix sugars and cinnamon in a zip loc bag. Brush the top of each doughnut with a little butter.

Step 9. Place the doughnut in the bag and shake, shake and shake until the whole donut is coated evenly.

Step 10. Place back on the wire rack. ENJOY!!
