Strawberry Milk Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 2 vanilla cake boxes
  • 1 C canola oil
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 C whole milk
Strawberry milk mixture
  • 2 C sliced strawberries
  • 1 C whole milk
  • 1 - 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 - 12 oz can evaporated milk
Whipped cream
  • 2 C heavy whipping cream
  • 1 ⁄2 C powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Fresh strawberries cut in half to decorate
  • 1 medium piping back with star tip

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x13 baking dish with pam baking spray
  2. Using a standing mixer, beat the cake mixes, oil, milk and eggs until combined and smooth
  3. Pour the cake batter into the baking dish and bake in the oven for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 20 minutes before poking holes all over the cake
  5. Using a blender, combine the cut strawberries, milk, condensed milk and evaporated milk and blend until smooth
  6. Pour over the cake, making sure to get the milk into the holes on the cake Place into the fridge overnight
  7. Using a cold standing mixer bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form
  8. Scoop 1 C whipping cream into the piping bag
  9. Spread remaining whipped cream onto the cake and pipe dollops of whipped cream on the top of the cake
  10. Place the sliced strawberries on the whipped cream dollops
  11. Enjoy!
