Low Carb Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole

Who doesn't love a delicious cheeseburger? This casserole dish captures all of the flavors of a classic cheeseburger but in an easy-to-eat form. The recipe was easy to follow, and the ingredients were easy to find. The end result was a hearty and flavorful casserole that everyone in my family enjoyed.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ lbs. Ground beef
  • 8 Large eggs
  • 1 C. Heavy whipping cream
  • 3 C. Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tsp. Minced garlic
  • ½ tsp. Onion powder
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ¼ tsp. Black pepper

Method
 

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Brown the ground beef over medium high heat. Drain the excess fat, and add in the garlic and onion powder. Saute another 30 seconds.
  3. Layer the beef in the bottom of a well-greased 9x13 baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle with the bacon.
  5. Sprinkle with the bacon.
  6. Blend together the eggs, heavy whipping cream, 2 cups of the cheese and salt and pepper in a bowl.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the ingredients in the casserole dish.
  8. Top everything with the remaining cheese.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
