Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large skillet over medium high heat, cook the onions and ground beef until the beef is fully browned and the onions are just starting to soften.
- Reduce the heat to medium.
- Add in the ketchup, mustard, worcestershire sauce, dill, minced garlic, cream cheese and salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine until the cream cheese is melted.
- Place the meat mixture in an even layer in a 9x13 baking dish and top with the crumbled bacon pieces.
- In a bowl whisk together the eggs and heavy whipping cream. Pour the mixture over the meat in the baking dish.
- Top the casserole mixture with the shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until cooked through and browned and bubbling.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.
