Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Season the chicken with salt and pepper to taste, and sear in the hot oil until the skin is browned and crispy and the chicken is cooked nearly through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
Reduce the heat to medium.
Add the butter to the skillet.
Stir in the garlic, and saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy whipping cream, parmesan cheese and chicken broth. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
Add in salt and pepper to taste.
Place the chicken back into the skillet, and reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer until the chicken is cooked through. Toss to coat the chicken in the sauce before serving.
