This dish is such a treat. With steak, shrimp and chicken, along with a creamy alfredo sauce and pasta, there’s something tasty in there for every palate. It’s also a recipe you can change, if you prefer different proteins

Ingredients
  

For the Steak:
  • 1 pound strip steak or ribeye
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup and 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2-3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce or to taste
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes optional
For the Pasta:
  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Chicken:
  • 1 chopped skinless boneless chicken breast
  • ½ tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Shrimp:
  • 10 ounces peeled deveined fresh or thawed shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Alfredo Sauce:
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup butter
  • 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • cups freshly shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

For the Steak:
  1. Cut the meat into 1-inch cubes and put them in a Ziploc bag.
  2. Whisk together ½ cup of the olive oil with the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, hot sauce, Cajun seasoning, sugar, and black pepper.
  3. Pour this marinade into the Ziploc bag with the meat.
  4. Seal and allow to marinate overnight or for at least 6 hours.
For the Chicken:
  1. Season the chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt and black pepper.
  2. Sauté in hot oil in a skillet until the chicken is no longer pink in the middle.
  3. Set the chicken aside.
For the Pasta:
  1. Fill a pot with water and add 1 tablespoon olive oil and ½ teaspoon salt.
  2. Bring the water to a boil then add the pasta and cook until al dente, following the instructions on the package.
  3. Drain and set the noodles aside.
For the Shrimp:
  1. Toss the shrimp with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and Cajun seasoning.
  2. Sauté the shrimp in the same skillet you cooked the chicken in, adding more oil if needed.
  3. Set the cooked shrimp aside.
For the Steak:
  1. Once the steak has reached room temperature, take it out of the marinade.
  2. Discard the marinade and sauté the steak in the same skillet as before, in one layer.
  3. Cook for 3 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Mix in the butter, red pepper flakes and garlic, and cook 2 minutes more.
  5. Set the steak aside.
For the Alfredo Sauce:
  1. In the same skillet you cooked the meat in, melt the butter for the sauce.
  2. Stir in the cream cheese, then add the cream and seasonings, and bring to a boil.
  3. Tun the heat down and simmer the alfredo sauce for about 8 minutes or until thick.
  4. Turn off the heat, mix the parmesan into the sauce, and adjust the seasonings if necessary.
  5. Add the cooked penne pasta and then mix in the steak, chicken and shrimp, and serve hot.
