Christmas M&M Cookies

These tasty cookies are so good. They’re festive with their red and green colors and offer a perfectly sweet flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large egg at room temperature
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup holiday green and red M&M candies
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • cups all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl.
  • Beat in the butter using an electric mixer until fluffy and light.
  • Mix in both types of sugar and then the vanilla and egg, and beat for 2 minutes more.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips as well as about ¾ of the M&M candies.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Use a medium scoop to drop spoonfuls of dough on there, leaving 2 inches between each one.
  • Freeze the baking tray with the cookie dough on for half an hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and take the baking tray out of the freezer.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden at the edges.
  • Take out of the oven and add the remaining M&Ms on top, pressing them in gently.
  • Let them cool on the baking tray for 10 minutes, then transfer them on to a wire rack to finish cooling.
