Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake
This delicious meatball casserole was created with comfort food in mind. It combines homemade meatballs with a rich, creamy sauce. The dish features egg noodles as well and you’ll enjoy its robust, hearty flavor. This is a winter warmer of a dish but it’s great for any season, and is also something the whole family will love.

For the meatballs:
- ½ Onion chopped finely
- 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
- ½ tsp. Garlic powder
- 1 lb. Ground beef
- ¼ tsp. Nutmeg
- 1 Large egg
- 1 tsp. Salt
- ½ C. Breadcrumbs
- ½ tsp. Black pepper
For the casserole:
- 1 Pint heavy whipping cream
- 2 ½ C. Egg noodles
- 1 ½ C. Swiss cheese grated
- 1 C. Beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Heat the oven to 375 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the meatballs with the exception of the olive oil. Knead with your hands until well combined.
Form the meat mixture into evenly sized meatballs.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat.
Sear the meatballs in the skillet until evenly browned and cooked through. Remove, and set aside.
Add the broth, worcestershire sauce and heavy whipping cream to the skillet you cooked the meatballs in, and simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Cook the egg noodles, and drain well.
Spread the egg noodles into the bottom of a well greased 9x13 baking dish.
Top with the meatballs, then the sauce, and finally the cheese on top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
