Ingredients
  

For the brownies:

  • 1 C. All purpose flour
  • 1 C. Unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 C. Granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp. Baking powder
  • ¾ C. Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 Large eggs

For the cheesecake swirl:

  • C. Granulated sugar
  • 8 oz. Cream cheese softened
  • 1 Can of cherry pie filling
  • 1 Large egg

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees, and grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish well.
  • Blend together all of the ingredients for the brownies until smooth.
  • Layer the brownie mixture into the casserole dish.
  • Remove just the cherries from the cherry pie filling can.
  • Beat the cream cheese, ⅓ cup granulated sugar and egg in a mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  • Fold the cherries into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spoon the cream cheese and cherry mixture over the top of the brownie batter in the casserole dish.
  • Use the tip of a butter knife to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the brownie batter.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until completely cooked through.
  • Let cool before serving.
