Ingredients
  

  • 1 Tube of crescent roll dough
  • ½ C. Sugar divided
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar divided
  • 8 oz. Cream cheese softened
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter melted
  • The juice and zest from 2 lemons

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oven to 350 degrees, and grease a 9x9 baking dish well.
  • Unroll the dough, and separate it into two even sections.
  • Pinch the lines of the dough closed and spread half of the dough into the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Combine the cream cheese, vanilla, lemon juice, lemon zest, and ½ cup of the sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture over the layer of dough in the baking dish.
  • Top the filling with the remaining layer of dough, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush the top of the dough with the melted butter, and sprinkle with 1 tbsp of sugar.
  • Cool to room temperature, and then chill for 6 hours before serving.
