- 1 Tube of crescent roll dough
- ½ C. Sugar divided
- 1 Tbsp Sugar divided
- 8 oz. Cream cheese softened
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. Butter melted
- The juice and zest from 2 lemons
Heat the oven to 350 degrees, and grease a 9x9 baking dish well.
Unroll the dough, and separate it into two even sections.
Pinch the lines of the dough closed and spread half of the dough into the bottom of the baking dish.
Combine the cream cheese, vanilla, lemon juice, lemon zest, and ½ cup of the sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the layer of dough in the baking dish.
Top the filling with the remaining layer of dough, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Brush the top of the dough with the melted butter, and sprinkle with 1 tbsp of sugar.
Cool to room temperature, and then chill for 6 hours before serving.
