Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry
Are you a parent who is always fighting with your little ones to eat their fruits and vegetables? At some point in our lives, we all went through the “green food is gross” stage. What if you served them dinner that they could barely taste the yummy vegetables in? Try our Black Pepper Beef and Cabbage Stir Fry next family night and I bet they will be shocked to find out what’s in it after they gulp it down.
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 ⁄2 pound ground beef
- 1 ⁄2 small head of cabbage shredded finely
- 1 red bell pepper cut into strips
- 2 tablespoons of Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon of Cornstarch
- 1 ⁄2 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt to taste
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, and add your oil
Or use a wok if you have one
Saute your garlic for about 5 seconds, then add ground beef to the pan
Stir-fry until beef is evenly browned for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat
Stir in your shredded cabbage and pepper
Cook until vegetables are tender and beef is cooked fully
Mix and stir in the cornstarch and water
Add and season with pepper, and then add salt to taste
Cook and continue to stir until sauce thickens a bit
Serve hot, and ENJOY!
