A lot of home cooks resist making cookies because there are so many things that can go wrong with them. But if this is a concern of yours, don’t worry. It’s really easy to make sugar cookies every bit as crumbly, soft, and sweet as you’d find in the bakery.

The following recipe was designed to be easy as well as yield impressive results.

The cookies are made with sugar, milk, flour, butter, eggs, salt, and baking powder – all ingredients you’re likely to have in the fridge and pantry.

As for the tasty frosting, that’s a delicious combination of powdered sugar, butter, milk, cream cheese, and a splash of vanilla extract. Once the cookies are baked and cooled, you can frost them. Depending on the occasion you might like to color the frosting – perhaps pink for Valentine’s Day or some red, some green, and some white for Christmas.

Why You’ll Love the Recipe:

Sugar cookies aren’t something you have to make a dedicated trip to the bakery for, at least not when the recipe you’re following is this easy. Sugar cookies can be flavored and frosted however you like, and they are so easy to make. So, grab the ingredients and get ready to make the most delicious sugar cookies ever!

How to Serve Them:

Use a round cookie cutter to cut out cookie shapes from the dough.

Place the cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until cooked through.

Let cool to room temperature.

Whisk together the frosting ingredients until smooth. Slowly add the milk a little at a time until your desired consistency is achieved.

Color with food coloring if desired, and frost the cookies before serving.
