Easy Hamburger Soup has the perfect title ever because this recipe only has THREE STEPS! Can we say that this recipe needs to be kept in your arsenal all winter long?

When the chilly weather hits, and those beautiful yellow, orange, and red leaves start to fall and coat the ground in a crunchy layer; it’s soup time!

For this reason, we wanted to create something that was super simple for you to throw together on a lazy weekend or add into the crock pot before going to work so you can jump right into your sweats when you get home and scoop a hearty dinner for the family with no effort.

Above all, the flavors are so dang good! With ground beef, hearty vegetables, and seasonings. Easy Hamburger Soup brings the vibes of a grilled burger during the months when grilling is just not possible for most people.

How would I adjust this recipe to be cooked inside of my crockpot?

This recipe is cooked currently on high for an hour and a half but you can certainly turn the temperature down for a low and slow entree with the same flavors. Simply, brown your meat slightly in a pan with oil or butter on the stove, drain the excess grease and pour it into your crock pot, add in all of the other ingredients this soup calls for, put the lid on, turn it to the lowest setting you have, and let it sit! Just make sure you stir everything up well before leaving it alone so nothing dries out. Using the crockpot will also make for more broth because the recipe has plenty of time to release all the natural juices from your vegetables and meat.

Can I substitute the meat if I don’t eat ground beef?

Even if you don’t eat beef, this recipe can be customized to your diet or protein preference. For this reason, you can use ground chicken or turkey which offers a healthier option. Just brown the meat slowly in the pan prior to adding it to the soup because these two options do brown quicker than your ground beef would. Furthermore, you could spice it up with sausage. Either regular or spicy sausage cut into bite-sized chunks makes for a delicious soup. You don’t have to brown the meat prior either if using this option!
