Heat some vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat, and toast the tortillas evenly on both sides until crispy.
Place 4 of the tortillas on a parchment-lined or well-greased baking sheet.

You’re unlikely to have leftovers but if you do you can keep them for a couple of days and reheat in a pan on the stove or in the microwave. The tortilla won’t stay crispy though.
Variations and Substitutions:
You can change any part of this you like, from the beef (try ground pork for a change of pace, or even cooked shredded chicken breast) to the cheese (any kind goes) and toppings. You can make this as similar to the Taco Bell version or as different as you wish.
