Bread, butter and cheese are of course the main components of a grilled cheese sandwich, or at least an ordinary one. But this is no ordinary grilled cheese! It’s so much better and always make a nice snack.
You can have this for lunch, brunch or whenever you want a sandwich but something a little more unusual than your typical sandwich choice. It’s both sweet and savory, creamy and fruity, and so delicious.
It’s an easy 4-ingredient recipe, calling for white bread, butter, brie cheese, and blueberry pie filling. Fruit and cheese pairs well together, such as grapes and strawberries on a cheeseboard or fruit flavored cream cheese.
This recipe combines tangy, creamy brie with blueberry pie filling to make a sandwich with both sweet and savory flavors which are just wonderful together. You can change any ingredients you want, using another type of bread, fresh berries or jam, or camembert in place of the brie.
