It was finally time to try out the new Baked Sweet Hawaiian Chicken Recipe. The recipe had been passed down for generations in my family, and I was excited to finally give it a try.

I followed the recipe to a tee, and when the timer went off, I couldn’t wait to taste it. The chicken smelled amazing, and I could tell that it was going to be delicious.

Baked Sweet Hawaiian Chicken

Ingredients

Chicken:

  • Chicken breasts
  • Eggs
  • Corn starch
  • Canola oil

Sauce:

  • Pineapple Juice
  • Brown sugar
  • Soy sauce
  • Minced Garlic
  • Crushed red peppers
  • Corn starch
  • Red pepper
  • Pineapple

How to make Baked Sweet Hawaiian Chicken

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees

Cut your chicken into chunks and season with salt and pepper

Using 2 small bowls add corn starch into one of them and beaten eggs in the other.

Prepare a baking tray with foil or parchment paper.

Dip the chicken into the cornstarch first then into beaten eggs.

Make sure all sides are coated.

Place the chicken on the baking tray to the side.

Repeat with all of the chicken.

In a large skillet over medium to high heat add your oil.

Cook the chicken until golden brown.

Spray a baking dish with non-stick baking spray.

Add your cooked chicken to the baking dish.

Making the sauce:

In a large bowl add your pineapple juice, brown sugar, spy sauce, minced garlic, and cornstarch.

Mix until combined.

Add the chopped red peppers and pineapple tidbits to the pineapple sauce. Toss to combine.

Pour the pineapple mixture on top of the chicken.

Bake for 1 hour.
