Summer is here, and as a result; we are craving crab cakes! Those delicious golden brown balls are deep-fried to perfection with breading and fresh crab meat, and spicy seasoning, for the perfect bite each time.

If you are from the states and near any ocean, then you probably have had the pleasure of enjoying fresh seafood. Not that stuff you find in the frozen section of your grocery store; we are talking about the real deal!

No matter where you live in the States, you have definitely heard of Joe’s Crab Shack. It has been an inexpensive seafood restaurant providing delicious meals to replicate the real thing for decades. What if you don’t have one in your town and find yourself craving one of their perfectly cooked crab cake? Specifically in the summer months when crabs are on your mind?

We got you covered! With much trial and error, we finally came up with the Copycat Joe’s Crab Shack Crab Cake recipe.

What makes this crab cake recipe special to any other one?

That is a good question! Above all, it includes the main ingredients we all want to see in our crab cakes. Obviously as fresh of meat as we can find, breading, oil, blackened seasoning, and lemon juice. Let’s break down some of the other ingredients that make this recipe special to a copycat of Joe’s Crab Shack. One ingredient you probably would be surprised is whipped up in your mixture is Worcestershire sauce! We traditionally save this sauce for steaks, but it adds the right amount of tang the crab cakes need. The other ingredient you may be surprised about is the dijon mustard. Both of these ingredients add some robust flavor that will have you addicted. For this reason, you probably won’t want anything else again.

1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
