How to make Crack Green Beans:

Step 1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees. 

Step 2. Place the green beans into a well-greased 9×13 baking dish. 

Step 3. Whisk together the brown sugar, melted butter, soy sauce, and garlic. 

Step 4. Sprinkle the bacon over the green beans. 

Step 5. Pour the sauce mixture over the green beans. 

Step 6. Bake for 40 minutes.

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ C Butter melted
  • 5 Cans cut green beans drained
  • 1 ½ tsp. Garlic
  • 8 Slices of bacon cooked and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • ⅔ C. Light brown sugar

Method
 

  1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Can You Make Them Ahead?

You can assemble the dish in advance if you wish and then bake them later when you’re ready.

Storage Instructions:

Leftovers should go in an airtight container. Pop it in the refrigerator and use them up within a few days. You could freeze this but it’s liable to go mushy so it’s best to serve this dish fresh.

Variations and Substitutions:

Sub white sugar or sweetener for the brown sugar if you want, or even leave it out. Honey would work here too. As for the soy sauce, coconut aminos is very similar. Ham would also work in place of the bacon. As for the green beans, using canned makes the recipe quicker and easier, but you can use fresh ones if you trim the tops and tails, boil them in salted water for 5 minutes, and then drain and proceed with the recipe.
