Pumpkin Spice Bourbon Kentucky Derby Pie is named after the biggest horse race in the states, but it doesn't mean you can't enjoy it anytime of the year! Smoky bourbon infused through the creamy filling and sandwiched between flaky crust for the best pie you have ever tasted.

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 1 C sugar
  • ½ C flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ C unsalted sweet cream butter melted
  • 3 tbsp pumpkin spice
Bourbon:
  • 1 C chopped pecans
  • 1 C semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 unbaked 9in deep dish pie shell

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325 and place your pie shell onto a cookie sheet
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and flour
  3. Whisk in the eggs, butter, and pumpkin spice bourbon until combined and smooth
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips and the chopped pecans
  5. Pour the batter into the pie shell and bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean
  6. Allow to cool completely before topping with fresh whipped cream!
  7. Enjoy!
