Pumpkin Brownie Recipe

If you’re a fan of pumpkins and they’re one of your favorite fall flavors, you just have to make these fabulous pumpkin brownies. They have a gourmet marbled look and boast nuts, spices and chocolate chips.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • cups white sugar
  • ¾ cup melted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
  2. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
  3. Stir the melted butter, vanilla and sugar together in another bowl.
  4. Mix the eggs into the butter mixture one at a time.
  5. Stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture.
  6. Divide this batter between 2 bowls.
  7. Stir the chocolate chips and cocoa powder into one and the pumpkin, nuts and spices into the other.
  8. Spread half of the chocolate batter in the bottom of the prepared pan.
  9. Add half the pumpkin batter on top.
  10. Now add dollops of both kinds of batter in the pan and pull a kitchen knife through the different dollops to get a swirly result.
  11. Bake for 45 minutes or until cooked through.
