NY Cheesecake

This is one of the classic NY Cheesecake recipes, and you can easily prepare them at home.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Packages of Cream cheese softened
  • 8 tbsp. Butter softened
  • 2 cup Sour cream
  • 5 Large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 ⅔ cup Sugar
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Lemon zest
  • 2 tsp. Vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whip together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  3. Mix in the sour cream and eggs.
  4. Add in the cornstarch, vanilla, sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest until well combined and smooth.
  5. Pour the mixture into a well greased 9 inch springform pan and bake for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  6. Let cool for 3 hours, and then chill for a minimum of one hour before serving.
