Method
- Beat the butter, cream cheese and 5 cups of the powdered sugar with an electric mixer.
- If it’s too sticky, you can add more of the powdered sugar.
- Now mix in the food coloring and peppermint extract (if using more than one color, divide the mixture up beforehand).
- Roll the mixture into little balls and put them on a piece of parchment paper.
- Use a fork to flatten each one, dipping it in powdered sugar first.
- Let the peppermint candies sit on the parchment paper for 2 hours or until dry.
