Cream Cheese Mints

These nostalgic peppermint candies are sure to bring back wonderful memories. They’re great if you’re looking for a holiday treat and you want something that’s both sweet and refreshing. They’re also nice for gifting and sharing. You only need 5 different ingredients, or even 4 if you don’t use food coloring. Anyone can make this simple cream cheese mints recipe quickly and easily. Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 8- ounce block of full-fat cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • cups powdered sugar
  • Gel food coloring any colors you like

Method
 

  1. Beat the butter, cream cheese and 5 cups of the powdered sugar with an electric mixer.
  2. If it’s too sticky, you can add more of the powdered sugar.
  3. Now mix in the food coloring and peppermint extract (if using more than one color, divide the mixture up beforehand).
  4. Roll the mixture into little balls and put them on a piece of parchment paper.
  5. Use a fork to flatten each one, dipping it in powdered sugar first.
  6. Let the peppermint candies sit on the parchment paper for 2 hours or until dry.
