Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prep a 9 X 5 inch loaf pan with nonstick baking spray.
- Add the butter, both sugars, egg, sour cream, and vanilla to a mixing bowl.
- Use an electric mixer whisk attachment to cream the ingredients together.
- With a fork, mash the bananas. Add the mashed bananas to the mixing bowl.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl. Beat to blend all of the ingredients together.
Filling:
- Use an electric mixer whisk attachment to combine the cream cheese, egg, sugar, and flour together.
Making the bread:
- Scoop one half of the bread batter in the loaf pan. Evenly spread the layer of the batter.
- Spoon the cream cheese filling over the bottom layer of the unbaked banana bread batter.
- Pour the remaining banana batter over the cream cheese filling.
- Even the top of the batter with an offset spatula. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
- Insert a toothpick in the center of the loaf to make sure the bread is done.
- Remove from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
