Method
- Put the turkey and onion in a 4-quart pot and add enough water to submerge.
- Add the garlic, salt and pepper.
- Put the pot over a high heat on the stove and bring to a boil.
- Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until the turkey is tender.
- Take out the turkey and discard the bones and skin.
- Return the turkey meat to the pot.
- Also add the green beans and then cook for 20 minutes.
- Add the potatoes and simmer for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
- Serve hot.
