Cinnamon Roll Crescents

The aroma of cinnamon always adds to the excitement in the air during the fall and winter, and over the holidays. Can you imagine fall without cinnamon rolls, or winter without a cinnamon latte or two, to warm you up? These homemade cinnamon roll crescents are absolutely perfect for a special occasion - Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, a birthday or anniversary - the list goes on. They’re nice for breakfast or brunch but would also work as dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can crescent rolls
For the Filling:
  • ½ stick butter at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup white sugar
For the Glaze:
  • ¼ stick melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Unroll the dough and separate into rolls.
  3. Arrange them on a baking sheet, without greasing it first.
  4. Now mix the filling ingredients together.
  5. Spread the filling over the rolls and tightly roll them up.
  6. Make sure they’re arranged tip side down on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
  8. While they cook, mix the glaze ingredients until the mixture is smooth.
  9. Drizzle or pipe the glaze over the warm rolls and serve.
