Cinnamon Apple Cake

This has to be one of the easiest, as well as one of the most delicious apple cakes of all time. The cinnamon adds a touch of warm spice while the nuts add a contrasting crunch. The star of the cake is the apple and even that comes out juicy and wonderful. You have to make this cake - it’s just so tasty!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 peeled chopped large apple
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Method
 

  1. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Beat the eggs with the oil, then mix in the cinnamon, sugar and vanilla.
  3. Mix in the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  4. Fold in the nuts and apples.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 15 minutes then slice and serve.
