Method
- Heat the broiler on your oven.
- On the stove top, melt the butter over medium heat in an ovenproof skillet.
- Once the butter is melted, add the broccoli to the pan and saute until the broccoli is just starting to become a bit tender.
- Add the chicken into the skillet and the minced garlic. Stir and saute a few more minutes before removing the mixture and setting it aside.
- Turn the heat down on the skillet to medium low.
- Pour the heavy whipping cream, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese into the skillet, and stir to combine until the cheese is melted. Continue to cook the sauce until it has thickened.
- Add the chicken and broccoli mixture back into the skillet, and toss to combine.
- Top the mixture with the remaining mozzarella cheese, and place the skillet under the broiler for several minutes until the cheese is browned and bubbly.
