Caramel Pecan Turtle Fudge

You’re sure to love how easy this fudge is to make. You prepare the different layers and then use a knife to swirl them together to combine the flavors and give the dessert a really appealing look. This homemade fudge is special enough to wrap in cellophane and give as a gift.

Ingredients
  

  • 14 oz. Caramels unwrapped
  • 1 ½ C. Chopped pecans
  • 2 C. Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp. Vanilla
  • 14 oz. Sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ tsp. Sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Heavy whipping cream

Method
 

  1. Place the caramels and heavy whipping cream into a bowl that is microwave safe.
  2. Heat at 30 second intervals until the caramels are melted and smooth.
  3. Add the condensed milk, chocolate chips and salt to a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Stir constantly, and heat until the chocolate chips are completely melted and combined.
  5. Line a 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper.
  6. Spread ½ of the chocolate into the bottom of the dish.
  7. Add the caramel on top of the chocolate.
  8. Place the remaining chocolate on top.
  9. Use the tip of a butter knife to swirl the layers together slightly.
  10. Chill for several hours until the mixture has set.
  11. Slice to serve.
