Method
- Heat oil in a deep pot.
- Stir the cinnamon and sugar together in a bowl.
- Roll out the dough and cut into biscuits.
- Put a tablespoons of apple pie filling in the middle of each one then add half a caramel on top.
- Pinch the dough edges then roll into a ball.
- Fry in the hot oil until golden.
- Remove the apple caramel bites with a slotted spoon.
- Roll in the cinnamon sugar.
- Serve hot, drizzled with caramel sauce if liked and/or paired with vanilla ice cream.
