Baked Cabbage Steaks

This Baked Cabbage Steaks Recipe is a great way to enjoy cabbage in a new way. The cabbage is cut into thick slices and baked in the oven with a simple seasoning blend. The steaks are cooked until golden and tender, giving them a delicious caramelized flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ tsp. Black pepper
  • 1 Small head of cabbage
  • C. Chopped walnuts
  • ¼ C. Olive oil
  • 1 Small lemon halved
  • 2 tsp. Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray well with cooking spray.
  2. Slice the cabbage into thick “steak” slices about ¾ of an inch thick.
  3. Place the cabbage steaks onto the baking sheet, and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Season the steaks with garlic, salt and pepper on both sides.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.
  6. Sprinkle the cabbage steaks with the walnuts, and add parmesan cheese for garnish before serving.
