5 Minute Candied Walnuts

This is such an easy recipe. You simply have to melt all the ingredients together, add the nuts and let the nuts set. The flavor is sweet and the texture is crisp and crunchy. It’s always worth making your own candied walnuts recipe, especially when the results are this good!

Ingredients
  

  • ½ C. Water
  • 2 C. Walnuts
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter
  • ½ C. Sugar
  • ¼ tsp. Salt
  • 3 Tbsp. Light brown sugar
  • ½ tsp. Cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Add the water, walnuts, butter, sugar, light brown sugar and cinnamon to a saucepan over medium high heat.
  2. Cook the mixture until the liquid has mostly all evaporated, and the walnuts are clinging together.
  3. Stir in the salt.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a parchment lined baking sheet, and press into a single flat later.
  5. The mixture will harden as it cools. Once cool, break apart and serve.
