Country Style Green Beans with Red Potatoes Recipe

If you love turkey, green b1eans and potatoes, you can enjoy this wonderful meal whenever you wish. It doesn’t even have to be Thanksgiving. The recipe is simple to prepare and it’s a meal-in-one so you don’t have to make any sides.

Ingredients
  

  • 29 ounces canned green beans drained and rinsed
  • ½ pound smoked turkey
  • 10 peeled chopped small red potatoes
  • 1 chopped yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Put the turkey and onion in a 4-quart pot and add enough water to submerge.
  • Add the garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Put the pot over a high heat on the stove and bring to a boil.
  • Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until the turkey is tender.
  • Take out the turkey and discard the bones and skin.
  • Return the turkey meat to the pot.
  • Also add the green beans and then cook for 20 minutes.
  • Add the potatoes and simmer for 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.
  • Serve hot.
