Slow Cooker Copycat Honey Baked Ham

This recipe saves you a trip to the Honey Baked Ham store and you’ll find the copycat version is just as wonderful as the in-store hams. It’s a simple recipe to follow which might well become a traditional every Thanksgiving in your house.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ tsp. Cinnamon
  • 6-8 lb. Bone-in spiral sliced ham
  • ½ tsp. Nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. Melted butter
  • ¼ tsp. Ground cloves
  • ¼ C. Honey
  • ¼ tsp. Paprika
  • 1 C. Brown sugar
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Place the spiral sliced ham into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Mix together the honey and butter in a bowl, and pour between the slices and over the outside of the ham.
  • Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.
  • Preheat the broiler on high on your oven.
  • Blend together the garlic powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, paprika, garlic powder, salt and brown sugar in a bowl.
  • Remove half of the seasoning mixture, and sprinkle it all over the top of the ham.
  • Transfer the ham to a baking dish lined with aluminum foil.
  • Broil the ham for a few minutes until caramelized.
  • Heat the remaining seasoning mixture in a pot over medium heat until melted and thickened slightly.
  • Brush the glaze over the ham and broil for another minute or two before serving.
