Gram’s Frozen Fruit Salad
There is no end to fruit salad variations, and you probably have your own favorite, whether that’s a sweet, heavenly Ambrosia-type salad or a simple combination of your favorite two or three fruits, perhaps enjoyed with a scoop of yogurt for breakfast or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert.

- 2 sliced bananas
- 8 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
- 1 pint chopped fresh strawberries
- 20 ounces canned crushed pineapple drained
- 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping plus more to serve
Beat the strawberries and cream cheese with an electric mixer.
Stir in the bananas, pineapple and whipped cream with a spoon.
Spoon the mixture into a 13x9-inch baking pan and put in the freezer to set (this can take a whole day).
Let the frozen fruit salad sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
