Baked Cabbage Steaks

This Baked Cabbage Steaks Recipe is a great way to enjoy cabbage in a new way. The cabbage is cut into thick slices and baked in the oven with a simple seasoning blend. The steaks are cooked until golden and tender, giving them a delicious caramelized flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ tsp. Black pepper
  • 1 Small head of cabbage
  • C. Chopped walnuts
  • ¼ C. Olive oil
  • 1 Small lemon halved
  • 2 tsp. Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oven to 400 degrees, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray well with cooking spray.
  • Slice the cabbage into thick “steak” slices about ¾ of an inch thick.
  • Place the cabbage steaks onto the baking sheet, and drizzle with olive oil.
  • Season the steaks with garlic, salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender.
  • Sprinkle the cabbage steaks with the walnuts, and add parmesan cheese for garnish before serving.
