Taco Tuesday has become a staple in many homes across the world. We either anticipate the delicious recipe we know and love or we use this opportunity to expand our culinary skills and try something new.

Tacos are one of the easiest foods to share and enjoy with your preferred flavor pairing. It’s great for hosting a party, a summer cookout, or feeding a bunch of hungry teenagers. Your table turns into a spread of a variety of sauces and toppings whether you prefer a spicer taco compared to just a traditional flavor combination.

Make Taco night even easier with Oven Baked Tacos. Lay tortillas in the bottom of a casserole dish, top with meat and cheese, and bake until bubbly and aromatic. This recipe is great as a grab-and-go meal if you and your family are on different schedules and have trouble finding a set time to enjoy dinner together.

Leftovers have never been easier! Just cover, store, remove and reheat. The flavor is still powerful and depending on the type of tortilla you prefer will still have a crispy crunch or a chewy soft shell.

Can I substitute the hard shell tacos for soft shell?

You can certainly use a different type of tortilla. If you use a soft shell you will have more of an enchilada bake but this will also ensure the tacos hold up well. Just don’t cover the bottom with too much sauce or your shells will become soggy. You could even use burrito or quesadilla wraps if you want larger sharing options for your growing little ones.

What type of taco seasoning should I use?

The seasoning world is your oyster. There are a ton of blends out there premade or you could create your own mix of flavors. Some of the most popular options are Old El Paso,  Ortega, and McCormick.

Here is all you need to create these beautiful and delicious tacos for your family and friends!

11-12 Hard taco shells (or soft shells)

1 ½ lb. Ground beef

1 Can Rotel tomatoes undrained (you could use fire-roasted tomatoes as well)
