Ingredients
  

  • 1 Stick Unsalted Butter Melted
  • ½ cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Egg Large
  • ¼ cup Sour Cream Regular
  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Ripe Bananas Large
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Kosher Salt

Filling:

  • ½ Brick 4 Oz Cream Cheese (Softened)
  • 1 Egg Large
  • ¼ cup Graduated Sugar
  • 3 tbsp All-Purpose Flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prep a 9 X 5 inch loaf pan with nonstick baking spray.
  • Add the butter, both sugars, egg, sour cream, and vanilla to a mixing bowl.
  • Use an electric mixer whisk attachment to cream the ingredients together.
  • With a fork, mash the bananas. Add the mashed bananas to the mixing bowl.
  • Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl. Beat to blend all of the ingredients together.

Filling:

  • Use an electric mixer whisk attachment to combine the cream cheese, egg, sugar, and flour together.

Making the bread:

  • Scoop one half of the bread batter in the loaf pan. Evenly spread the layer of the batter.
  • Spoon the cream cheese filling over the bottom layer of the unbaked banana bread batter.
  • Pour the remaining banana batter over the cream cheese filling.
  • Even the top of the batter with an offset spatula. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
  • Insert a toothpick in the center of the loaf to make sure the bread is done.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
