Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prep a 9 X 5 inch loaf pan with nonstick baking spray.
Add the butter, both sugars, egg, sour cream, and vanilla to a mixing bowl.
Use an electric mixer whisk attachment to cream the ingredients together.
With a fork, mash the bananas. Add the mashed bananas to the mixing bowl.
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
Add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl. Beat to blend all of the ingredients together.
Filling:
Use an electric mixer whisk attachment to combine the cream cheese, egg, sugar, and flour together.
Making the bread:
Scoop one half of the bread batter in the loaf pan. Evenly spread the layer of the batter.
Spoon the cream cheese filling over the bottom layer of the unbaked banana bread batter.
Pour the remaining banana batter over the cream cheese filling.
Even the top of the batter with an offset spatula. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
Insert a toothpick in the center of the loaf to make sure the bread is done.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
