Ingredients
  

  • 8 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • ¼ cup Dark Brown Sugar Packed
  • 1 ½ cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder Rounded
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 1 ¼ cup whole Milk
  • Filling:
  • 3 ½ cup Fresh Blackberries
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon Ground
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Prep a 10 inch cast iron skillet with non-stick baking spray.
  • Add butter to the cast iron skillet.
  • Place the skillet in the oven to melt the butter.

Crust:

  • Add brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt to a medium bowl. Whisk to combine.
  • Add milk, stirring to mix. Remove the cast iron skillet from the oven and add the crust mixture.
  • Spread the crust mixture over the melted butter.

Filling:

  • Add blackberries, cinnamon, vanilla, flour, and sugar to a bowl. Gently stir to combine.
  • With a tablespoon, drop the filling into the cast iron skillet.
  • Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown or for 35-40 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
  • Serve with a scoop of ice cream.
