Super chewy bars infused with brown sugar and cinnamon for a sweet treat she won’t be able to resist. Now top with your homemade cream cheese frosting and add your favorite pink and red sprinkles to complete your special gift. Who can resist such a delicious dessert?
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Bake Time: 20-24 minutes
Ingredients:
½ C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
1 C sugar
½ C light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 C flour
Cream Cheese Frosting
½ C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
½ C cream cheese
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
4 C powdered sugar
1 tsp-3 tsp heavy whipping cream
1 C valentines day sprinkles
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 and line a 9×13 baking dish with a parchment paper
Step 2: Using a large bowl, whisk together the flour, and ground cinnamon
Step 3: In a large bowl, beat together the butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla until combined
Step 4: Gradually beat in the flour and cinnamon until combined
Step 5: Spread the dough evenly into the pan
Step 6: Bake in the oven for 20-24 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Step 7: Allow to cool completely
Cream Cheese Frosting
Step 8: Using a standing mixer, beat together the butter and cream cheese until combined and smooth
Step 9: Beat in the powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy whipping cream until combined and smooth
Step 10: Spread evenly onto the bars and sprinkle some Valentine’s day sprinkles on top
Step 11: Cut into bars and enjoy!
